These are the people who help Pastor Binu Peniel with certain parts of worship. For example: lighting the candles on the altar, handing out the collection plates to the ushers, handing the communion trays to the communion helpers, and leading the people out with the symbolic light of Christ after extinguishing the alter candles at the end of worship.
These are people who have a speaking role in worship. We love to have people of the RiversEdge United Methodist Church read the Scriptures aloud, not because people can’t read, but because it helps give life to the written words. We also invite people to help lead the congregation in spoken prayers.
These people either help to prepare the bread and the grape juice for the Sacrament of Holy Communion, or they are those who give the blessed bread and juice to the congregation. RiversEdge United Methodist Church invites all to partake in communion.
